Abstract

The main goal of this thesis is to verify effect of the surface treatment of wood on ecotoxicity simulated extinguishing water in laboratory, prepared by contacting water with the gaseous products of thermal decomposition of wood material with different surface finishes. Theoretical part deals with wood and surface treatment, explains the basic concepts of toxicology and describes the principle of gas chromatography. The experimental part deals with creation of the water samples use of devices to determination of optical density by a single chamber test EN ISO 5659-2. To test toxicity of water were selected Determination of the inhibitory effect of water samples on the light emission of Vibrio fischeri and semi chronic toxicity test on Sinapis alba L., supplemented by measurements on a gas chromatograph GRIFFIN 460TM.
