Chudoba a sociální vyloučení ve vybraných zemích EU

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o chudobě a sociálním vyloučení z obecného pohledu, následně se zaměřuje na analýzu ve vybraných zemích EU. Diplomová práce se člení na teoretickou část, která se zabývá vymezením konceptu chudoby, sociálního vyloučení a sociálního začleňování.

Na tuto část navazuje kapitola zabývající se vymezením role Evropské unie v boji proti chudobě a sociálnímu vyloučení. Jejím smyslem je shrnout dosavadní vývoj v oblasti chudoby a exkluze na úrovni EU. Pozornost je věnována zejména období 2000-2010.

Čtvrtá kapitola představuje aplikační část tzn. zabývá se analýzou chudoby a sociálního vyloučení ve vybraných šesti zemích EU. Smyslem této kapitoly je shrnout jakou životní, sociální a ekonomickou úroveň sledované státy mají a určit pořadí analyzovaných zemí s nejlepší a nejhorší udržitelností sociálního modelu. Záměrem tohoto srovnání je také zahájit diskuzi o stěžejních sociálních problémech, úspěších či neúspěších sociální politiky v rámci vybraných zemí EU.

This thesis deals with poverty and social exclusion from general point of view; consequently it is focused on analysis of the selected EU countries. This thesis is divided into the theoretical part, whose aim is to define the concept of poverty, social exclusion and social integration.

The following chapter deals with definition of the role of The European Union in the struggle against poverty and social exclusion. Its purpose is to summarize up to now development in the sphere of poverty and exclusion on EU level. Mainly 2000-2010 periods was closely observed.

The fourth chapter represents application program, which means that it breaks down figures of poverty and social exclusion in six selected countries of EU. The intent of this chapter is to resume social and economic standards of these countries and estimate list of analyzed countries according to the best and the worst sustainability of social model. The goal of this comparison is also initiation of discussion about main social problems, fundamental achievements or failures of social policy in chosen EU countries.
