Abstract

In the thesis, I have dealt with the theme of education and development of employees in the GeLiMa a. s. company that focuses on the processing of a leather and production of a gelatine. The aim of my thesis was a detailed identification of the current system of education in the company, evaluate it by using a questionnaire and by secondary sources to determine its weaknesses, presenting them in a SWOT analysis and propose recommendations to improve the system. I divided my master thesis into six chapters. In the first chapter, Introduction, I explained the theme and the aim of the thesis. In the second chapter, I explained the theoretical background, which I tried to connect to the practical part. Characteristic of the selected company I have dealt with can be found in the third chapter. The focus was mainly on human resources. In another, the fourth chapter, I described the current system of education in the GeLiMa a.s. and detailed results of questionnaire. The fifth chapter contains my suggestions and recommendations how to improve the existing system of the education. In the last chapter, the end, I have summarized the results of the thesis.
