This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of fire separation distances of wooden buildings. In the beginning of the thesis, are presented wooden buildings from the point of view of material and construction, and the basic legal and normative regulations, which are devoted to establishing of fire separation distances. In other parts, the work is devoted to the interpretation of terms related to fire separation distances, such as fire separation distance, fire-hazardous area, fire open area, heat flow density, position factor and calculated fire load, resp. equivalent duration of fire, analysis of basic factors affecting stand-off distances and evaluation of existing methods of setting this distances. The final part of this thesis deals with the proposal of methods of establish of fire separtion distances for individual types of wooden structures and their use.
