Abstract

The subject of the thesis is decision-making on production plan of steel companies maximizing the total margin. The main aim of this work is to design and verify an economic-ecological optimization model of steel company under the uncertainty. Using the analysis of internal and external company environment, ecological and environmental constraints influencing the total margin are identified. Various methods of mathematical programming are used to design the model. A deterministic alternative represented by convex programming, and two groups of optimization methods involving the uncertainty are described and used – stochastic linear programming and fuzzy linear programming. Designed models are verified by using the data of the concrete steel company in the Czech Republic. Only the one of included environmental factors was proved to have a substantial impact on companies under current conditions – emissions trading. This factor influences the total margin of the company, but it does not have an effect on the production structure. Various sensitivity analyses were used to determine an influence of emission permit prices and an amount of allowances allocated for free on the total company margin.
