Abstract

The aim of this thesis is research of steel or furnace slag from steel production in VÍTKOVICE HEAVY MACHINERY a.s. The theoretical part characterizes slag from steel production, description of slag production equipment, types of chemical, phase analysis and possibilities of utilization of steel slag. The experimental part is focused on slag sampling and laboratory tests (chemical and phase analysis). The possibilities of recycling and utilization of these slags back in steel production are summarized at the and of the thesis.
