Rozšíření a konsolidace pluginu Open SYMOS

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the extension and consolidation of the Open SYMOS plugin for the QGIS environment. The plugin is designed for air pollution modeling and uses computational procedures based on the SYMOS’97 methodology. The thesis first describes the current state of the plugin and analyzes its original implementation, especially in terms of code structure, user interface, input validation and available functionality. Based on the identified shortcomings, a modified version of the plugin is designed and implemented. The modifications focus on fine-tuning the user interface, adding input validation, correcting unintegrated parts and extending the plugin to process linear and polygon input layers. The resulting implementation is then tested in terms of functionality and the new state of the plugin is documented in the thesis.
