Abstract

This work deals with design and implementation of the system in the Matlab environment for modeling the dynamics of heat exchanger. The main task of the heat exchanger is to transfer the energy of hot combustion products by steam boiler flue gas. The size of the transmitted energy, or heat over time is determined by the dynamics of the system. The dynamics determines how the system responds to the fault. That in this context means a step change of input values. The knowledge of these characteristics is needed in the design of the control system or controller and enables the effective control and regulation of the heat exchanger to achieve the desired values.
