Vulkanity těšínitové asociace u obce Baška

Abstract

Bachelor thesis deals with teschenite association in the Silesian Unit of the Outer Western Carpathians during Lower Cretaceous. The Association is composed of teschenite, pillow lavas and tuffites. The basis of this work is specifying the geological development of the Silesian Unit, mainly Hradišťě Formation. Subsequently documentation and sampling of the selected profile with the occurrence of the teschenite association located on the left bank of the river Ostravice was made near the village Baška. Before evaluating of the samples the methodology of preparation of thin section and X-ray diffraction analysis was described. The final evaluation of the samples was then carried out on the basis of the macroscopic description of samples and in selected samples also by microscopic description or by X-ray diffraction analysis.
