Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis was to create a practical guide to setting up a family business in the form of a limited liability company. The theoretical part introduces the reader to the key principles of entrepreneurship and the functioning of family businesses, including their current situation in the Czech Republic. This is followed by the practical part, which consists of three chapters. The first chapter describes in detail the process of establishing a company, including all the necessary documentation. The company was named MateMio, s.r.o. and will be engaged in providing mathematics tutoring services. The second chapter focuses on the development of the business plan, which includes a market analysis, competitor analysis, marketing strategy, as well as a financial plan that includes a forecast of both optimistic and pessimistic scenarios. The final chapter develops a family constitution which is used to ensure harmony between family members and the firm.
