Abstract

This thesis deals with theoretical analysis of short-circuit effects, where types, causes and consequences of short-circuits are summarized as well as limitations of short-circuit currents, by using a method of calculating short-circuit conditions in which the short-circuit currents are described, calculation assumptions and etc. And the parameters of systém elements where cable and electrical parameters of overhead lines are started. At the beginning of this work I deal with what a short-circuit actually means, what are the most common causes of short-circuit and what are the consequences of short-circuit. The last part of the thesis is devoted to an example of calculation of short-circuit conditions in the transmission system.
