Abstract

This thesis focuses on the design of a camera system for the interior of a small series vehicle. The aim of the work is to project an image onto an integrated screen in the interior of the prototype vehicle, which will be recorded in real time by the camera system. The data will therefore be ready for further possible image processing should software be developed for the vehicle that can use this data. The aim of this thesis is to select a camera system suitable for use to monitor the area in front of a prototype or small production vehicle and, using 3D modelling and 3D printing to resolve the fitment to the interior in such a way that the interior design is not compromised nor the driver's view of the road is obstructed.
