Abstract

Aim of this work is a literary analysis of the materials used in the manufacture of brake discs. There are described mechanical properties, processing, microstructure and use of brake discs made of gray cast iron and composite materials. This thesis also describes the types of structures brake discs and their use. Furthermore, the thesis characterized test methodology "Pin-on-disk" and analysis using a dynamometer.
