Abstract

Bachelor thesis deals with the influence of selected environmental variables (oxygen, temperature, pH, conductivity, redox potential and current) on the composition of macroinvertebrates from two samplings (May and September 2014) made at four locations upriver Ostravice: Pržno (1), estuary of Morávka river (2) Liskovec (3), Vratimov (4). An important role is primarily attributable to the oxygen content in the water (it affects 15 species), ORP ( affects 13 species) and flow ( affects 12 species). Smaller role is evident in pH (affects five species) and conductivity (affects 4 species). Minimum dependence on temperature has been demonstrated (it affects 2 species). Due to the occurrence of species that require clean water to their life we can stated that the water quality of the Ostravice river is satisfactory, allowing life to a wide range of macroinvertebrates.
