Abstract

Wood is a natural and environmentally friendly material that has its irreplaceable place in the construction industry. Since popularity of its use in building structures has been increasing in recent years, I have decided to focus on this unique material in my bachelor thesis. The aim of this bachelor thesis is the design of a timber-concrete road bridge that replaces the upper structure of existing bridge structure that is no longer sufficient. The bridge structure is located in Prachatice district and on the road 14213 via Dubský potok in Bohunice. Thesis deals with issues regarding timber-concrete bridge structures, a suitable design solution, the design of a new bridge construction, the load calculation from a combination of load cases and the assessment of individual structural elements and details of the structure. Part of this work is also drawing documentation.
