Analýza pojistného trhu v České republice

Abstract

The purpose of this diploma thesis si an analysis, which evaluates the development and the level of the insurance market in the Czech Republic. In particular the development of the main insurance market indicators is examined. Part of the analysis is also a development evaluation of the single market of the European Union, which Czech insurance market is a part of. For the sake of lucidity the diploma thesis is divided, excluding the introduction and conclusion, into 3 chapters. The theoretical part characterizes insurance and other basic concepts, market segmentation, market actors and insurance regulation are also described. The following chapter includes a detailed description of the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the insurance market. In the third chapter an analysis of the Czech insurance market and also an analysis of certain areas of the European insurance market are done using these indicators.
