Abstract

The thesis discusses the contemporary mining equipment, especially for underground mining. The equipment is described and compared with the current development of mining technology. The mainstream world development in mining machinery heads to quality equipment high in investment, namely sophisticated computer controlled technology and autonomous and remote controlled mining equipment. However, such equipment is expensive, and thus old proven technology will be still needed. The Czech Republic has a great potential in the production of high-quality mining machines and has qualified specialists for difficult mining conditions. The thesis is complemented with explicit images/photographs.
