Povrchové dobývání lignitu v pánvi Merit Pila (Sarawak, Malaysia)

Abstract

The submitted bachelor thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the major Miocene Merit Pila Basin, which is currently known due to the lignite mining. The study summarizes basic information about especially geology, hydrogeology of the area of interest, the history and current production of the major open pit mines. The evaluate of the drainage system of open pit mines, the results of chemical analysis of discharged water and the proposal of possible measures to improve the water system in the locations of interest is part of this study.
