Abstract

The objective of this dissertation thesis is to emphasise the possibility of the further energy potential development of a waste water treatment plant with the use of thermal energy from the phenol ammonia water flowing into the waste water treatment plant. The use of this part of the thermal energy will lead to a decrease in the purchase of natural gas because the thermal energy from the phenol-ammonia water will be used for heating the digestion tank which at the time of the greatest loading, i.e. in the winter period, may lead to a decrease in the purchase of natural gas. Depending on the saving of the purchase of natural gas there will be a saving on the purchase of electric energy. The thesis briefly describes the waste water treatment plant in Třinec, analyses the possibility of the phenol–ammonia water utilization in the tracking period and determines whether the thermal energy potential of the phenol-ammonia water is able to reduce the use of the thermal energy potential of existing energy sources, i.e. natural gas and biogas. The final part of the thesis contains a draft of the new pipe-line and the overall summary.
