This bachelor thesis deals with safety study for town quarter of Ostrava - Jih. The first part provides the basic information about the safety and the safety system of the Czech Republic, and defines the basic terminology. The town and the town quarter, technical equipment, level of safety and an outline of emergencies that may possibly occur here are characterized in the next part. The empirical part describes the methodics of risk assessment, which is applied to the area of the town quarter. The suggestions for improvement of the safety level of the town quarter are compiled from results of the analysis.
