Implementace docházkového subsystému v systému Kelvin

Abstract

This thesis focuses on creating a module for recording student attendance within the Kelvin e-learning system, including the implementation of client mobile applications for the Android and iOS operating systems. The objective was to develop a tool which will be resilient to fraudulent attendance entries by involving the mobile devices of both students and teachers simultaneously, utilizing the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol. The thesis also includes a set of visualizations for teachers so they will make a comprehensive overview of student participation in individual lessons. The first part examines the technical solutions for evidence of the attendance, compares capabilities of the existing solutions used for that purpose and introduces the technologies which were used for the development of the new system. Then, the second part will deal with the implementation itself, specifically the design and following development of the module to the Kelvin system and the mobile applications, including the testing of the solution.
