Abstract

Current legislation requires regular inspections of the technical state of railway wheels. These checks are carried out directly on the wheel without removal, including keeping detailed records of the results of these measurements. Each measurement is time-consuming and also is not precluded human error factor. Not only for economic reasons manufacturers try to prevent the possible consequences but mainly for the reasons of safety.

This thesis deals with the description of the design of the measuring system for measurement of railway wheels and sorting system according the quality of the technological process.. The theoretical part acquaint us with the nomenclature of the part to which the work relates, practical part describes the principle of laser equipment for measuring profiles and thesis concluded illustrative protocols from measurement and proposed sorting system.
