Vytvoření grafického standardu pro OPC UA komunikaci mezi sytémy PLC B&R a ABB 800xA.

Abstract

The subject of this diploma thesis is the design and implementation of a communication and graphic standard for connecting B&R programmable logic controllers (PLCs) with the ABB System 800xA distributed control system via the OPC UA communication protocol. The main challenge lies in linking the PLC library elements with the visualization objects within the 800xA system. To address this, a custom Python application was developed to generate an information model directly from the library’s data types. Based on this solution, a standardized library of object types was created, complete with graphical elements and faceplates. The functionality of the entire system was verified on real hardware in conjunction with a process simulator.
