Abstract
This thesis deals with the legislation and economic aspects on property taxes. In the theoretical part of this thesis describes the basic strcture elements of tax, principles and functions of taxes, tax legislation, tax administration, tax and fee system in the Czech Republic, the legislation of the Czech Republic in property taxes and property taxes in selected countries. The practical part describes property tax revenues in the Czech Republic for 2007 - 2013.
