Abstract
This work is focused on reclamation of the former brown-coal quarry Medard - Libík in Sokolov district. Procedures and basic information along with technical and biological stages about the reclamation which were subsequently applied to opencast mines in Czech republic and abroad, are described in the research part. Further, reclamation procedures along with research of the specific locality and evaluating of current status of lake Medard are also described.
