Biomonitoring znečištění pracovního prostředí pomocí mechorostů

Abstract

This diploma thesis presents an application of indoor active biomonitoring using mosses. For this experiment, the moss species Hylocomium splendens Hedw. was chosen. Samples was pre-treated in two different ways. First one was the devitalization of the organism and the second one was continuously irrigated by distilled water. In transplants, following trace elements Ag, Cd, Cu, Hg, Pb, Sb a Si were analysed by: atomic absorption spectroscopy, Advanced mercury analyser 254 and inductively coupled plasma – atomic emission spectroscopy. The results are presented in figures and maps with isolines which describes accumulation of trace elements in monitoring site. It can be concluded that the irrigated moss bag method is more suitable for this kind of experiment and, generally, that indoor active bimonitoring using mosses is useful for investigation of pollution in these closed spaces.
