Abstract

The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the performance of the branch within the franchise system and, based on the performance evaluation, create strategies to improve the current situation. The topic is chosen due to the prevalence of franchise business, the importance of the proper functioning of each branch of the franchise system, and because the author of the thesis is part of the management of the given branch. The performance of the branch is evaluated on the basis of the measures that are used in the surveyed company. Performance is juged over a period of twenty-four months. The achieved results of the branch are compared with plans, goals, the entire brand or with a similar branch of the same franchise systém. The achieved results of the individual measures are mainly shown in graphs. The main sources are internal documents. Strategies are created using the Balanced Scorecard method. The Balanced Scorecard method takes into account the company's vision, goals and environment. The company's vision and goals are obtained from annual accounts and internal documents. The company's environment is analyzed by the PESTLE method and Porter's five forces model. The implementation of the strategy is visualized by a strategic map.
