Abstract
Diploma thesis deals with the research of protective refractory, alumina and zircon coatings designed for casting heavy steel castings furan-chromite mixtures. The main target was to evaluate all the coatings in terms of quality and surface quality of castings. Outputs of this thesis are the experience with the use and assessment of the suitability of coatings investigated.
