Benchmarking vybraných výrobních společností

Abstract

In my bachelor thesis I deal with the benchmarking of the companies producing the dining and utility porcelain. These are: Czech Porcelain, a.s., Thun 1794, a.s., Procyon Star Bohemia, s.r.o. The whole work is divided into six chapters. First, I will define the basic concepts, benchmarking types, rules, benchmarking models, the cycle or its use in practice, and the associated advantages and disadvantages. Then I characterize the selected companies, analyze the main financial statements, balance sheets and profit and loss statements. I will also focus on the characteristics of porcelain, the production process, and kaolin as a basic material. I will describe the methodology of data collection and the benchmarking process. Then move to benchmarking itself, comparing the absolute and ratio indicators to the marketing survey. Based on the results I will make recommendations for the company.
