Letištní řídící věž z ocelových modulárních kontejnerů

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the design and structural assessment of an airport control tower made of modular steel containers supported by a truss structure. The aim was to verify the load-bearing capacity for Asturias airport in Spain. The tower geometry and loads were defined according to standards, with focus on wind effects. A 3D model was created in RFEM 6. Containers were analysed as welded steel elements with trapezoidal cladding. Structural checks were done per Eurocode, including joints in Idea StatiCA.
