Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the identification of opportunities and threads in engineering company VÍTKOVICE HEAVY MACHINERY a. s. In theoretical part, the definitions of strategy, the management of strategy, the strategic analysis (inner and outer analysis), and the financial analysis are described. Before the application part, the description of the company and the company analysis, including the financial analysis, is stated. The application part presents the analysis of the company from the point of view of PEST analysis using the assumptions of the gross domestic product evolution, inflation, the global steel prices, the fuel price, the Czech crown exchange rate, the minimum wage growth, as well as utilisation of the overall wage in the region. The final part of the thesis is dedicated to the description of the competition companies with the list of the main competitors.
