Abstract

The theses is focused on the evaluation of the possibility of using portal solutions for the support of coping with large scale extraordinary events. The work is divided into several chapters. First, it provides a general view of the problems, explains the terms intranet, content management system and web portal. Then the thesis describes the geographic information system and closed portals of the crisis management of fire and rescue service. The final chapter assesses and recommends the use of portals of the crisis management of fire and rescue service.
