Abstract
Contemporary situation in Vrsanska Uhelna Company is examined in the thesis. The first part goes through the history and development of coal mining. The next part describes basic problems of coal technologies that are connected with mining and economic results. There are evaluated two time period. The first one from date of established of the company till 1980, the second from 1980 to 2008. Prognosis of the future of Vrsanska Uhelna Company. is mentioned in the last part of the thesis.
