Abstract

The topic of this Bachelor’s Thesis is the creation of a geo-touristic guide to selected national parks and notable sites in the western part of the United States. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to a general description of four selected national parks. These are Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Yosemite National Parks. It describes their geology, geomorphology, hydrology, climatic conditions, fauna, and flora. The second part presents a geotouristic guide featuring both natural and cultural attractions of the region. The thesis also includes practical information such as GPS coordinates and photographs of the sites.
