Abstract
The aim of this work is to characterize various types of military fortifications that were built on the territory of prewar Czechoslovakia, focusing on the fortifications built in the Usti region. In the introductory section there are details of all kinds of light and heavy fortifications built in the former Czechoslovakia in the shadow of fear of a possible occupation of Czechoslovakia by neighboring Germany and other countries. In the next part of this work there are described in detail and mapped out individual lines of light fortifications built on the territory of today Usti Region, where the only light fortifications were built. The main part is focused on the use of fortifications in terms of the current requirements of tourism. There are mapped the museums of light fortifications in the Usti region, as well as suggestions on how to use the preserved military buildings in terms of tourism and their possible promotion.
