The diploma thesis deals with identification of substances by neutron activation ana-lysis which was realized in laboratory of neutron activation analysis and gama spectrometry in Ostrava. The aim is identificaction of substances using like antecedents of explosives for making improvised explosive devices. The theoretical part describes principles of neutron activation analysis, characterises fertilizers like potential antecedents of explosives and do-es not forget the legislation relates to this issue. The practical part is not only about experi-mental measurement by mentioned method but also about chemical analysis and microsco-py.
