Abstract

In the work is presented the problematic of reactive power, its impact on electric network. We analyze the power compensation methods with fluent transit to the topic of compensation capacitors. Here are described different types of capacitors and their attributes. With the high current we concentrate on the scroll capacitors. We’ll look into the basics of production technology, we’ll describe the basic dielectric materials. We'll describe the current situation and we'll explain the method we choose. We'll design the scroll capacitor along with the discharge resistor and the inner fuse.
