Abstract
The aim of thesis is to determine, influence of the addition of FAME to the flash point and auto - ignition temperature of diesel fuel. The first part deals with basic concepts, legislation, and meaning of the word biodiesel. In next part are described the physicochemical properties and fire safety parameters for FAME and diesel fuel, their toxicity and comparison of emissions between biodiesel and diesel fuel. The last part of the work deals with laboratory tests for flash point and auto-ignition, which have been performed for itself diesel fuel, FAME and their mixture, and safety guidelines, which set the standards ČSN EN ISO 2719 and ČSN EN 14 522 (originally applied for this test standard CSN 33 0371).
