Abstract

The Diploma thesis analyzes the use of biofuels in the Czech Republic. Due to the large number of types of biofuels is paid close attention only on bioethanol. The goal is to propose changes in legislation in the Czech Republic, and recommend the way which our country should follow in the future. The empirical part analyzes the expected development in biofuels field and their use. The main impuls for writing a diploma thesis on the topic of biofuels and their possibilities of the use in the Czech Republic, was absence of independently written material which discusses comprehensively about biofuels. The thesis is intended for public as an information material describing biofuels in terms of their origin, history, legislation and future trends.
