Abstract
Bachelor´s work is focused on the financial analysis, the field of profitability in specific. The face goal of the work was to perform the analysis of profitability of TON, a. s. company within the period of 2006 until 2008. This analysis has been done by means of the particular profit ratio indicators.
The first part of this work contains an introduction to the methodology of the mentioned financial analysis. Greater attention is paid especially to profitability indicators as well as to pyramidal systems of indicators. The following part presents basic characteristics of selected company. It also includes the horizontal and vertical analysis of balance sheet with profit and loss statement for monitored accounting periods. The last part evaluates the analysis of profitability indicators which has been applied to specific conditions of the said company. Furthermore this chapter also includes the pyramidal decomposition of the ROE indicator which is quantified by the method of gradual changes and the logarithmic method.
