Ekonomické disparity v zemních a regionech Visegrádské čtyřky v kontextu politiky soudržnosti Evropské unie

Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of regional disparities in the Visegrad Group countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) at the level of NUTS 2 regions in the period 2012-2022. Eight indicators were used for the analysis, which were converted into a single scale using the point method. This method was used to compare and synthetically evaluate the regions. The results were further processed using the traffic light method to achieve a clear visual representation of the level of development of the regions. The highest scores were achieved in regions comprising capital cities such as Prague, Bratislava, Budapest and Warszawa. Conversely, the lowest scores were recorded in the regions of Észak-Magyarország, Opolskie and Eastern Slovakia. The paper provides an overview of the evolution of regional disparities within the V4 and highlights persistent inequalities that could serve as a basis for further research.
