Abstract

This thesis deals with financial market, entities operating on the financial market and investment options. The first charter deals with the history of the financial market, as well as legislation that govern the financial market, and with certain types of securities. The second chapter focuses on the Czech National Bank and the way of supervising the financial market. I briefly consider above the national and transnational development of financial market regulation. The third chapter describes other entities of financial market and their impact on the market. The fourth chapter focuses on investment opportunities, practical advice for investors and ways of evaluating the financial health of companies, or financial market itself. The aim of this thesis is to introduce basic information about the financial market, clarify the financial market tools, describe the basic principles of investing and evaluate the functioning of the financial market and entities operating on this market. The main aim is to evaluate usefulness and effectiveness of Czech National Bank – institution that regulates financial market and supervises it.
