This master’s thesis focuses on the design and technical solution of a kindergarten with heating provided by a ground source heat pump. The system consists of an indoor unit with an integrated hot water tank, combined with photovoltaic panels. The heating systems are designed as closed systems with forced water circulation. The thesis includes the design of a heating system for a public building. The technical design of both the building and the heating system was developed to meet the technical and operational requirements according to the relevant standards. Modern trends in residential construction, the operation of educational facilities, heating technology, and energy efficiency of buildings were taken into account during the design process. The kindergarten is heated by an ecoFOREST ecoGEO 5–22 kW heat pump, which draws heat from three deep boreholes located on the premises. The heat pump is also designed for domestic hot water heating. This makes the building dependent only on electricity, which is either supplied from the grid or generated by photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of the kindergarten. The underfloor heating system is designed using components from Rehau.
The master’s thesis consists of a theoretical and a drawing part, which provides a detailed description and specification of the heating system, including the structural, material, and technological aspects of the building's design.
