Abstract
The theme of this bachelor thesis is the proposal and carrying out of the measurement of the influence of non-ionizing electromagnetic interference on the working of Implantable Cardioverter - Defibrillator. The theoretical part deals with the current use of the ICDs, their principles of functioning, stimulation modes, user settings and the norm for Active implantable medical devices. The practical part is realized by connecting the measuring circuit assembled from the ICD, the equivalent circuit of tissue and the system of measuring devices and signal generators. The ICD is measured in order to test its resistance against the influence of the external EMC fields that may inhibit or change its functioning or possibly even damage it. The testing is performed by inducing the modulated signals for simulation of the cardiac function and the disturbing signals for the simulation of fibrillation on ICD.
