Abstract

The goal of the presented Bachelor Thesis is a description of an interesting geological phenomenon in the location of Vršany, the company Vršanská uhelná a.s. This is a bed of the historical stream through which water was flowing to the Mostecká Coal Basin, which reaches the second, third and occasionally the fourth coal seam. This bed of the fossil stream is situated in the southern part of the centre of the Mostecká Coal Basin, and its age is approximately 17 to 22 million years. In the widest part, the width of the bed reaches approximately 500 metres, and it is gradually slaking. Its length is ranging between three and half to four kilometres. The most interesting is the very sharp delimitation of the bed and its distinct separation from the surrounding coal seam. Another goal of this Bachelor is a description of the mining solution of the procedure of drawing the wash-out using the TC2.
