Konkurenceschopnost vybraných kandidátských zemí EU

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to define various approaches to the term competitiveness and its measurement and based on the macroeconomic data and multicriterial measurement evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of competitiveness of the selected candidate countries of the EU (The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Iceland). To achieve this purpose the method will proceed from theory to empiricism. The second chapter presents in depth the term competitiveness and will be processed by the method of theoretical exploration. The third chapter focuses on the method of measurement the competitiveness a will also contain the method of theoretical exploration. In the fourth chapter will be used the comparative method, where there will be explored the strengths and weaknesses of competitiveness.
