Abstract

This thesis considers the possibility of the development of a solar power plant. It examines the possibility of producing electricity by renewable energy. The introductory part of the thesis describes the principle of photovoltaic transformation .It also outlines the history of renewable energy and looks at technologies which are used today. It further looks at legislation, market analysis of solar energy and does a SWOT analysis. The main focus of the thesis is the vision of a photovoltaic power plant with power capacity of 397kWp. The project contains engineering solutions as well as an evaluation of the economics/investment needed for this project.
