Abstract
This thesis focuses on local accessibility in the field of psychiatry, examining selected forms of acute and subsequent inpatient care, as well as outpatient care. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the local accessibility of contracted providers of psychiatric care under the General Health Insurance Company of the Czech Republic as of January 1, 2024. According to Government Regulation No. 307/2012 Coll., on the Local and Time Accessibility of Health Services, maximum travel times are defined. Exceeding these values is considered a violation of legislation.
To achieve the thesis objective, three sub-objectives are defined, with a research question assigned to each sub-objective. The first sub-objective aims to evaluate the local accessibility of acute psychiatric inpatient care provision in the Czech Republic. The second sub-objective aims to evaluate the local accessibility of subsequent psychiatric inpatient care provision in the Czech Republic. The third sub-objective focuses on assessing the local accessibility of outpatient psychiatric care provision in the Moravian-Silesian and South Moravian regions. Research questions focus on compliance with legal conditions for the local accessibility of providers of acute and subsequent psychiatric inpatient care, as well as providers of outpatient care in the field of psychiatry.
The method of rate of change and growth coefficient was used for analyzing psychiatric care. The geographic information system QGIS was used to display the local accessibility of psychiatric care.
The main finding is that the local accessibility of psychiatric care, both acute and subsequent inpatient care, as well as outpatient care in the field of psychiatry, with contracted providers under the General Health Insurance Company of the Czech Republic, is in line with government regulations.
