Abstract
This thesis addresses the issue of women's return to the labour market after parental leave. The objective of the study is to identify and analyse the barriers that hinder the effective reconciliation of work and parental responsibilities. Both the theoretical and empirical parts of the thesis are structured into macroeconomic and microeconomic perspectives. The theoretical section focuses on gender disparities in the labour market, the legal framework of maternity and parental leave, and the availability of flexible work arrangements. It also includes a review of empirical studies on the topic. The practical section is based on quantitative data and the results of a questionnaire survey. The findings show that the return of women to employment is influenced primarily by the level of support from employers, the availability of institutional childcare, the forms of flexible work, and persistent gender stereotypes. The thesis emphasizes the importance of a systemic approach to work-life balance as a key component of modern human resource policy.
