Abstract
The first part of this thesis handles the theme deoxidation (desulphurisation) in the electric arc furnace and possible defects arising from their negligence. Subsequently the options of deoxidation and influence of the various elements that affect the activity of oxygen and sulphur are outlined. In the second part is then the attempt to propose possible amendments, how the chemical composition of slag, which could reduce the current state of oxygen and sulphur in molten steel. Describes the many advantages and disadvantages of the possible introduction in the operation. The work concludes the evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed measures.
